ROBERTS 771X SOLID STATE REEL TO REEL TAPE RECORDER (WORKING). Nice sounding Roberts 771x reel to reel tape recorder comes with cover, seems to be functioning correctly using a home stereo and speakers , guages and lights working as well as tape counter. Hooked to a stereo receiver. It has a few scratches on the face plate and there is a hard black glue like substance on the back of one side of it that obviously does not affect the machine. This is a really neat looking Robert’s that would be a highlight of any home system and I think it was built around 1965, it is fairly heavy but does have a handle. ROBERTS 770X- SS REEL TO REEL TAPE RECORDER TESTED AND WORKING. This Robert’s sounds great without being plugged into a larger home system. This Robert’s model is the exact same deck as an Akai M8. I think this agreement lasted until the early 70s. This unit is in very nice shape but does have a spot chipped on the original lid that comes with it.. Vintage, Roberts 770X Tube Type, Reel to Reel Tape Player/Recorder. I have owned this unit for over 30 years. I recently tested it and it played a tape just fine. I did not try to record. I will include 10 tapes with the sale. Additional tapes may be available. THIS UNIT HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED! It is complete as far as I know. Everything in the photos is included including: all knobs, the rubber doodads that hold the reels on, 2 empty reels, microphone, 10 tapes and the original manual. I’m guessing that the rubber doodads that hold the reels on are not original although they have been on the unit since I have owned it. The tube type Roberts 770X is sought after by some to make guitar amplifiers.
