For sale is an AKAI GX-285D dolby reel to reel tape deck recorder. It is in very good condition cosmetically and it makes beautiful sounding recordings. However, there seems to be a problem with the relay board because the play function only works when it wants to (record as well) fast forward, and rewind seem to work, but the play is rather sporadic. With other projects going on, I just simply don’t have the time to pursue this one any further. This deck will make a great candidate for a restoration or use for parts.
