Taking offers on this 1976 TEAC 25-2 Tascam Series, 2 Track Master Recorder. Got this unit without the umbilicals that went between the two units so they are custom made.. All mechanical functions seem to work as they should, same with all the inputs and outputs, all controls and I/O terminals have been cleaned and lubed, you get audio from the tape on playback and the erase head looks to be working well, but the newly recorded content records at a very low level. Overall the cosmetics of the electronics I would call good considering it’s age, and the cabinet I would call fare but structurally sound. These are very rare, especially with the original cabinet and will nearly double the value of my asking price once it’s restored and full functional. (Sale does NOT include the reels/tape, but comes with the original hubs for 10 reels).
