Got this vintage Uber reel tape recorder and player from I believe the mid 60s or 70s because it says made in West Germany, which is what I believe to be referring to the time Germany was separated because of war from my recollection of world history. Although I’m not sure if it’s from that time era or it just was made on the west side of Germany. I do not have the plug or wire that this machine uses. I’m not entirely sure if I could find the plug that this unit does use, nor do I know what the power plug is called. Regarding the physical condition, it does have major wear and it is probably from either use, storage, or how old this unit is. It has oxidation and paint chipping all over the metal chassis, and there’s major paint chipping and scuffing on the bottom. I do not know how to use or test something like this because it’s something I’ve never seen before. I have not taken it apart or worked on it, just cleaned the outside of it. It does come with its original Uber branded reel tape, unsure if there’s anything on the tape or not. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask me.
