This is an RCA Victor Solid State Tape Recorder, Model YHH-33-J. It has 3-speeds, 1 7/8 ips, 3 ¾ ips and 7 ½ ips, it takes up to a 7 reel and a take-up reel will be included, the reel of tape pictured is not included. Each reel has a built in hold down so you may use it flat or vertically. It has one motor and 2 heads, it can playback 2 tracks and there is a switch to choose which track is played back. It has a Volume Control, Tone Control and a VU meter, plus there is a working Tape Counter as well as a Pause control. It has both a Mic and Aux input and can be used as a PA with the flip of a front panel switch. It has a built in, high quality speaker. There are operating instructions printed on the inside of the top cover. There is a Storage Compartment for the cord, on the back, and when the top is on it, is a very sturdy carrying case, with handle. We have serviced the unit by completely cleaning the tape path, demagnetizing the heads, oiling and lubricating where needed, and there is plenty of life left in the heads. We have replaced the counter belt and brake pads, as well as rejuvenated the pinch roller, additionally all transport functions have been checked. This is a very nice, vintage tape deck.
