Uher 4000 Report IC 4000 Reel to Reel Tape Player & Recorder READ DESCRIPTION

I tested this unit multiple times. The first time I plugged it in, it didn’t do nothing. After a bit of a while I pressed play, and it started playing, then tested the rewind and fast forward and stops. After a bit it stopped working, then started working again, then stopped again. I’m not entirely sure how to use something of this manner and age, as I’m pretty sure this is from the 70s or 80s aka Cold War era as this was made in west Germany. Overall the unit is in physical fine condition, it’s not really damaged apart from the plastic piece is completely separated from wheres it’s supposed to be attached, unsure how to fix it. AKAI X-150D Reel to Reel Cross-Field Stereo Tape Deck Recorder. Reel to reel plays 1 7/8, 3 3/4, and 7 1/2, IPS (15 IPS with optional parts). Comes with 22-page photocopy of operator’s manual. Comes with 4 jacks that adapt 1/4 inch jacks to more usual RCA jacks. Comes with speed change sleeve. All parts cleaned, properly lubricated, adjusted and tested. Everything works as it should. All new belts installed (capstan drive belt and tape counter belt). All heads cleaned and demagnetized. All potentiometers, relays and switches treated with Deoxit solution. All functions quality tested and working perfectly. All heads, rollers, transport guides, brakes and tension arms in excellent condition. Cosmetically nice, but has a dent on the upper right corner of the front panel (see picture). Some small scratches and flaws on the outer case. Smooth operation and switching from one function to another. High quality and nice-looking addition to your vintage audio system. Enjoy years of great sound and trouble-free operation. RCA Victor 3-Speed Reel to Reel Tape Recorder, Just Serviced

This is an RCA Victor Solid State Tape Recorder, Model YHH-33-J. It has 3-speeds, 1 7/8 ips, 3 ¾ ips and 7 ½ ips, it takes up to a 7 reel and a take-up reel will be included, the reel of tape pictured is not included. Each reel has a built in hold down so you may use it flat or vertically. It has one motor and 2 heads, it can playback 2 tracks and there is a switch to choose which track is played back. It has a Volume Control, Tone Control and a VU meter, plus there is a working Tape Counter as well as a Pause control. It has both a Mic and Aux input and can be used as a PA with the flip of a front panel switch. It has a built in, high quality speaker. There are operating instructions printed on the inside of the top cover. There is a Storage Compartment for the cord, on the back, and when the top is on it, is a very sturdy carrying case, with handle. We have serviced the unit by completely cleaning the tape path, demagnetizing the heads, oiling and lubricating where needed, and there is plenty of life left in the heads. We have replaced the counter belt and brake pads, as well as rejuvenated the pinch roller, additionally all transport functions have been checked. This is a very nice, vintage tape deck.
