This listing is for a vintage Voice Of Music (VOM) reel-to-reel stereophonic tape recorder, model 722. Also included are the optional VOM model 168 ” StereoVoice ” auxiliary speaker with amplifier; as well as the stereo recorder accessories kit. My research tells me this model was produced from 1961 through 1965. Operator’s manuals for the 722, and 168, are included. Further research indicates this recorder features. 1/4 Recording / playback tracks. 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 Speeds. 7 Maximum reel size. Voltage = 110 – 120 volts. Frequency response = (All 3 DB’s); 7 1/2 lps; 40 Hz – 15 kHZ. Wow and Flutter = Less than 0.4% RMS at 7 1/2 lps. Signal-to-noise ratio = Better than -50 db. Dimensions = 15″ x 15 1/2″ x 9 1/2 (Each unit). This tape recorder was carefully stored for many years, and is in exceptionally nice cosmetic condition (With the exception of the stained grill cloths). All power lights come on properly; fast forward and re-wind features operate as they should, as do all buttons that seem to engage and dis-engage correctly.
