This item has been relisted due to a non-payer! For sale is an AKAI GX-270D-SS 4 channel Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in good condition albeit with some minor scuffs and marks and wooden chips as shown. It has been tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs and the simul sync. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. ALL 4 channels work good as well. The sound when recording at 3 3/4 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and even better at 7 1/2 IPS. The heads are also in very good shape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. They will be listed exclusively on Reverb where I’m also there under the name DJZ Vintage Audio! This decision to move to Reverb was made after long and careful consideration. Look for me and my listings there! Dont expect any large price reduction! This item will be packed extremely well so it arrives in one piece. DO NOT discard the packing material and box! This illustrates proof that the deck was working when it left here. DO NOT OPEN A RETURN REQUEST! Any issue that occurs can be just as easily resolved just by communicating. Proof of any issues that arise may also be requested so I can determine the best course of action to resolve them. I do however, reserve the right to use UPS at anytime.
