This item is a vintage Pioneer RT 1020L Reel to Reel. Tested and fully functional in very gently used condition. The wooden cabinet is nice. The RT-1020L was introduced in 1973 and was Pioneers top-of-the-line open reel deck that year. It was a three head (hyperbolic), three-motor, two and four track stereo tape deck with a 4 channel quadraphonic playback option. A three position bias-selector and two position equalization-selector ensured optimum reproduction of low-noise/high-output tape. Independent MIC and LINE record level adjustment allowed input mixing. Two speeds (7½ and 3¾ ips) were provided and up to 10½ reels could be accommodated. Rewind speed: less than 100 secs for 370m tape (faster for model 1020H). Inputs: mic: 0.25mV to 80mV / 20 Kohms (1 mV ref). DIN: 15mV to 1.5V / 1.5Kohms. Outputs: line: 316mV / 50 Kohms load (output impedance: 3.3 Kohms).
