TASCAM 38 Reel to Reel 8-channel RECORDER/REPRODUCER w/ RC-71 Remote Ex Cond. Playback and record function tested on each channel and works. All lights on meters work. No dents, no scratches. Heads are in nice shape. Rewind and forward fast tend to slow down when the reel is full and near the end of the tape but playback maintains a solid speed. I believe this is indigenous to this machine as I had another one many years ago and it worked the same way. Based on the condition I would say this unit will perform well for many years as long as it is maintained properly and cleaned before and after every use as I always did.
