For sale is an AKAI GX-267D auto reverse stereo 4 Track Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in very good condition as shown albeit with some scuffs, nicks. It has been fully tested and works great, and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. A set of VU lamps were installed. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. Both channels work perfectly as well! The record function on this deck is a bit finicky and doesnt always work like it should. For this reason and being unable to locate a suitable repair shop to figure out the issue, the deck is suitable for playback and tape transfers. The sound when recording worked well at 3 3/4 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and even better at 7 1/2 IPS.
