Up for sale here is this nice vintage Revox G-36 reel-to-reel player/recorder. This is in great condition with light overall wear and a little bit of dust/grime. This does not have a front cover–it was not included when I got this. Physically this is in great shape except for a few minor things. One of the rear screws is missing and the bottom speaker is very slightly torn around the back edge of the surround (though I think it can be repaired). Inside the back, there are two sort of grills, one on each side in the back slots, that are just in there loosely–they’re not attached or anything. The head cover is included, but one of the little metal pins that it mounts with is missing–it still holds on fine, but the right-side pin is not there. I powered this up and it seems to run. Both rewind and fast-forward move nice and quickly. Play seems to run as fast as fast-forward and rewind, I’m not sure why. I did not test the record function, and I didn’t actually try this with a tape or anything. The left VU meter light is out but the others light up. The counter moves until it hits 009 and then it stops there. This is completely as I found it–all the tubes are there, though they are not the original Philips Miniwatt tubes–it looks like a previous owner re-tubed it with RCA and GE tubes. I believe all the 12AX7s are RCAs. This includes the power cord and also includes the original instruction manual and a pair of hub adapters, which are in great shape. It does not come with any other accessories like rubber stoppers, reels, or RCA cables. This is a beautiful reel-to-reel–don’t miss it! Please see my pictures for details.
