The RP-2422 Head Assembly functions are 4-track recording and play back as well as 2-track playback. The following heads are part of the the RP-2422: 2-track playback, 4-track erase, 4-track recording, 4-track playback. Every function of the unit works, all speeds (15 ips, 7-1/2 ips and 3-3/4 ips), the real time tape counter, VU meters, Pitch Control Knob, and every record, fast forward, reverse and brake functions using both the units buttons and the Remote Control Unit RP-9690 which is included and is also in excellent condition. This machine is a selectable multi-voltage unit and includes the round pin to flat pin adapter for USA electrical receptacles. The side panels are in excellent condition. The operating instructions are copies I had made and the Brochure is the original Technics. The TDK box includes only the 10.5 inch metal reel (no tape on it). The other tape reels have tape on them, some with music and some new. This deck weighs approximately 55 lbs. On it’s own and will weigh more with all the extra items and packing material.
