The TEAC X-1000R was built to the highest standards under strict quality control to give years of faultless sevice. It encorporates many outstanding features for the true recording enthusiast such as DBX type 1 noise reduction. It features a 4-track, 2-channel, auto-reverse, stereo track system. There are two playback heads, two record heads, and two erase heads. All heads appear to be in good condition – please see all photos. It will fit up to a 10 1/2 reel. Tape speeds include 3 3/4, and 7 1/2 ips. 8% total harmonic distortion. Other features include pitch control, tape lifter, dupli-sync, illuminated VU meters, auto spacer, and auto timer. This unit has been mechanically tested, and functions as it should. The only thing we couldn’t test was the record function. It is also missing the two silver caps for the tension rollers.
